The experience of hunting Montana is “Second to None” whether you are hunting pheasants in the prairie basin, sharp tail grouse in the coulees, Hungarian partridge in the foot hills, or ruffed grouse and blues on the mountain face. Having been the lead upland bird hunting guide for Central Montana Outfitters for the past 7 years, I have learned even though Montana is not as well known for bird hunting as some of the other states, this place is the “Real Deal”. In other states we have hunted once you have taken your three pheasant limits your done! Here in Montana plentiful bird populations allow you to hunt all day taking three pheasants, four sharpies, and eight huns as your daily bag limit. Put that with the scenic mountain back drop it doesn’t get any better, so make sure to bring plenty of shot gun shells and oh ya don’t forget the camera.
