*Conditioning*

Keeping your bird dog conditioned and exercised is an important factor in the success of your bird hunting season. With the proper conditioning, training, nutrition, and care, your bird dog should be like a fine tuned athlete at hunting season. In addition to keeping our bird dogs legged up and physically fit, during the summer months we put our dogs through swimming exercise programs. This not only keeps them in great physical condition but minimizes wear and tear on legs and joints in addition to sharpening their retrieving skills.

If you plan on taking your bird dog hunting to different locations around the country, keep in mind the possibility of significant changes in weather conditions, the difference in terrain which you will be hunting, in addition to undesirable encounters with animals in which your bird dogs are not accustomed. Our bird dogs have hunted locations through out the country and have the drive, the conditioning, and endurance to handle it under most all conditions. While the other dogs are going back to the truck our dogs are just getting warmed up!

Contact us if we can be of service to you and your dog for your upcoming hunting season.

* In addition to our string of bird dogs we will be taking some started young dogs for a few of our clients to Montana during the 2008 bird season. To find out more, or if you would like to book your own upland bird hunt in Montana with us, see the hunts page or go to Central Montana Outfitters.
