*Bird Dogs*
Our string of bird dogs primarily consists of English Setters and English Pointers. We have implemented a breeding program in which we strive for quality not quantity. Doing this, reduces the number of litters we produce, however allows us to make the quality breeding in which we are striving for, additionally giving us more time to interact and socialize with the puppies.

*Field Trials and Competition*
National Shoot To Retrieve Association
We are active participants in the competitive sport of upland bird field trials. The National Shoot to Retrieve Association was founded as walking style quality field trials for all pointing dog breeds. Their goal is for the actual bird hunter to enjoy being in the field and competing with their pointing dogs beyond the normal upland bird hunting season. Our family has been actively involved with field trialing for over 30 years.

Having a complete horse facility on location to stable our horses enhances our capabilities as a complete bird dog operation. Some national level field trial organizations utilize horses for judging purposes. With our bird dogs the fear of negative reaction to a horse is not a factor as the dogs have plenty of exposure to horses in the training field.
At
Big Time Gun Dogs, good nutrition and a healthy environment is vital for our horses also. Many times we are asking for as much endurance out of our horses, as we are the bird dogs.
